I hope Busters story will give hope to other people who have kittens or cats who get cat flu. They can survive and be fine here is Busters story.

BUSTER

Buster as a young kitten developed full blown cat flu as a rescue kitten he had not had his injections to protect him from this virus.

He was so ill as a young kitten you could hear him breathing he was as bad as it could get really. Tigger my other kitten also had cat flu but recovered much more quickly with just one round of antibiotics. As you can see from the photo of Buster he was very ill. He needed a lot of TLC and a few courses of antibiotics to get well with eye drops each day. It is so important that they have this medicine asap and eye drops or they can go blind.
don't believe they are beyond hope they are not, and with warmth, TLC and medicine they can and do recover totally.

I was told Buster could be ill all his life but this was not so, he has grown strong through the summer and autumn and (touch wood) has now had his annual boosters and is not ill with this virus.

If you are in doubt - give the cats or kittens a chance of life and get them medicine asap, with warmth and love you can end up with a cat who will love you until his dying day because they know you saved them.

Seek vetinary help Urgently & ASAP is my best advice and don't believe all the horror stories cats and kittens can and do survive cat flu. My cats were diagnosed with full blown cat flu and are both now healthy adult cats.

The CPL were hugely helpful as well and are a great organisation for rehoming cats and helping with them (the cats protection league).

Act quickly to get them vetinary attention when they are obviously ill as time makes the difference between life and death for them, keep them warm this is like our having pneumonia. My cats are now full of fun and life and repay my care a 100 fold!!
