‘SNOWBALL’ VERY RARE US-ZONE LABEL c.1950 LARGE WHITE STEIFF BEAR
Snowball is an extremely rare large white Steiff bear. Her impressive height standing is 25″ (65cm) With the sought-after Steiff cloth US-Zone label. This magnificent, and very hard-to-find white Stieff is one of the best we have ever had to offer in this colour. She is a beautiful bear with stunning white mohair fur. It is almost impossible now to find this colour & size. To find one like her, in such amazingly good original condition is very rare.
Her mohair coverage is excellent with very minimal loss, around her muzzle and facial seams (the usual places) Overall she has well over 95% remaining, which is very good for her age. Her felt paw pads are original and excellent with just a few faint marks. Even her tilt growler still works well. She has a cloth US-Zone label in the back seam of her arm. It has some wear but is readable. This dates her to the time frame of 1947-1953, As these labels were only used at that time. She also still has the original Steiff string on her chest that would have had his paper label. She no longer has a button/tag in the ear these were often removed for safety purposes before giving to children. She is a very special and so beautiful Steiff, it is hard to believe she is about 75 years old! An amazing Steiff.
