- We have been extremely fortunate, to be able to purchase from Germany this outstanding large old Steiff bear. He is one for the collector of top-class Steiff bears in very good original condition
Theobald is a rare large old Steiff bear in the impressive size of 25″ (65cm) He is in fabulous original, unspoilt condition with a Steiff button in ear and complete yellow stock label. His EAN number is 5365:02 and he has the Steiff button in raised script with thin letters. His EAN number dates him to being made between 1959-1966. He is one of the earlier ones and still wears his original yellow ribbon. He has thick curly light brown mohair fur, original felt paw pads. a working tilt growler.
He has glass eyes, a long muzzle, large feet with long hand paws like the earlier Steiff bears had. You can see he has been very well loved and cared for over the years. It is hard to believe he is well over 60 years old!
