‘TINKER’<\/strong> AN<\/strong> ADORABLE OLD c.1960s MERRYTHOUGHT ‘CHEEKY’ BEAR<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tinker is an adorable old Merrythought ‘Cheeky’ bear from the 1960s. One of the most sought after bears made by Merrythought, especially original early ones like him. They are an iconic British childhood teddy bear of the time. He has bells in his ears, mohair plush fur, plastic eyes, a velvet muzzle and is fully jointed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is in lovely conditions for his age and very clean. His height standing up is 13″ (33cm). He has lost his label but you can see on his foot where it once was, and has a little lost felt to his left hand paw. Email for more photos \u00a365<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1960S LARGE WINNIE THE POOH BEAR BY MERRYTHOUGHT WITH LABEL & TOP<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A rare original c.1960s old Winnie the Pooh bear by Merrythought. He comes wearing his original red felt top with his name ‘POOH’ on it. He is fully jointed with mohair fur, realistic plastic eyes. He is an old PJ Case and in superb condition for his age. Laid flat he measures 20″ (50cm) his lining is very good and clean, and the zipper works well. Overall he is so good for his age, just a little fur wear on the top of his head and minor scuffing of his eyes. He is very clean from a smoke free home. ‘LUCY’ LARGE OLD FARNELL – TWYFORD – ACTON TOYCRAFT BEAR c.1950s-1960s<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lucy is a very impressive large old bear made by Farnell. Or one of their later companies – Twyford – Acton Toycraft. Over the years we have had these bears with all the labels. This woolly plush fur was used a lot by Farnell after WW2 when mohair was in short supply. The bears came in various sizes. Now rarely seen, they are adorable. Lucy is a very large bear with a standing height of 30″ (75cm) fully jointed with typical light coloured rexine paw pads. Also typically her hand paw pads have ‘blown’ as the kapok has expanded a little over the years. We have given her a temporary solution to keep her neat and all together of a sellotape ‘bandage’ which works very well. She has early non-safety plastic eyes, you can hear her growler if you tap her back and when you gently rock her back a lot of the time . She is in original condition and would be at her best with some TLC a good brush and light clean. She is priced to reflect her current condition. Her new owner may be happy to keep her just as she is. Or she can go to a local teddy hospital to have her paw pads fixed. She is a wonderful old bear who would make a perfect centrepiece in a teddy hug. No longer has a label. A bargain for someone able to give her some TLC. ‘DENNIE’ ADORABLE OLD FARNELL – TWYFORD BEAR 1950S – 1960S<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dennie is a very cute old Farnell – Twyford bear from the 1950s-60s. He has golden mohair, glass eyes, a stitched nose, mouth. Fully jointed, his height standing is 12″ (30cm) His tummy squeaker no longer works and he has some wear to his mohair around it. No label. He is a small bear with a big personality. ‘OZZIE’ SMALL MERRYTHOUGHT BEAR WITH LABEL<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘SQUIDGE’ VINTAGE MERRYTHOUGHT BEAR WITH LABEL<\/strong> c.1970s-80s<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Squidge is a very soft and cuddly vintage Merrythought bear. She has plush fur, is fully jointed, height 14″ (36cm) Vintage from the 70s-80s and good for age. Small mark on one foot pad. Has her maker label on her paw pad and the side label. Email for her photo file \u00a330<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘SNUGGLES’ VINTAGE MERRYTHOUGHT PJ CASE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Snuggles is a very appealing vintage PJ Case bear by Merrythought. He is made in the old style, unjointed with blonde mohair fur, felt paw pads, and realistic plastic eyes. His sitting height is 13″ (33cm) He is small enough to be used in many ways as well as for PJ’s. Or he can have some stuffing and sit on a dresser.
