RARE 1950’S CHAD VALLEY ‘TOFFEE’ BEAR, SUPERB CONDITION FOR AGE
‘Toffee’ is a seldom seen and hugely popular old Chad Valley bear. He has a very distinctive look to him and is a real chacter. Fully jointed with mohair fur and glass eyes, rexine paw pads. His height standing is 9″ (23cm) Overall in super condition with excellent mohair coverage for his age. He comes wearing a replacement knitted beret and ribbon. He no longer has his tags, squeaker no longer works. He is one of the best we have seen for condition, still having a thick covering of mohair. Email for his photo file. £145

‘REMI’ THE CUTEST OLD CHAD VALLEY BEAR WITH LABEL c.1950s -60’S
Remi is a British childhood teddy bear from the c.1950s- 60’s. She has mohair fur, glass eyes, is fully jointed. Height standing is 12″ (30cm) Made by one of England’s most famous toy & teddy bear maker’s Chad Valley. She has her cloth label in her side seam. For her age she is in really good clean condition. Slight mohair wear mostly on her chest, squeaker no longer works. She is a really sweet bear. Email for her photo file. £75

‘SOOTS’ 1960S SOOTY TYPE BEAR
‘Soots’ is an adorable 1960s Sooty type childhood bear. Hugely popular in the 1960s the Sooty shows & books. Bears were made that were similiar to him. This bear came from Eastern Europe made for the UK market. He was a bear made in many sizes and many children at the time would have had one. ‘Soots’ has been very well cared for. He has kept his original dark golden plush colour fur. Made of a cotton plush that was widely used at the time. He has glass eyes, a stitched nose and mouth, and claws. He is fully jointed, his neck joint is more swingy than when he was new but firmly in place. His height standing is 12″ (30cm) approx. He is a really good example of a one of these bears from that time. Now very hard to find. Email for his photo file. £75

‘PETER’ OLD PEDIGREE BEAR WITH OUTFIT c.1960s
Peter is a very lovable older Pedigree bear with character and charm. He has been well loved and rather looks his age. With his wispy what is left mohair and swingy limbs from a lot of bear fun over the years. For all that he is still strong and with lots of life still in him. His height standing (he finds that hard now and prefers to sit) is 22″ (55cm) Some wear to his inner legs at the joints. His eyes are a little scuffed, but he still has the bells in his ears to cheer him up. He comes wearing his cute romper suit. He now looks for someone to love him again. ‘VINCENT’ OLD PEDIGREE BEAR c.1960s
Vincent is a lovely older Pedigree bear c.1960s. He is fully jointed with mohair fur, velvet paw pads (now age worn) a stitched nose and mouth. He has typical Pedigree orange black realistic plastic eyes. Height standing is 19″ (48cm) remains of his Pedigree label on the top of his back near where it joins the neck. He has a working tilt growler. Overall he is good and clean for his age. With some settlement of his fur and age wear on his pads. From a smoke-free home. ADOPTED

‘MAMA’ & ‘BABA’ 2 OLD 1960S WENDY BOSTON BRITISH BEARS
Mama and Baba came in together so it would be lovely for them to stay together if possible. They are both from the 1960s by the famous British teddy maker ‘Wendy Boston’ Both are unjointed, with plush fur, and realistic plastic eyes. They have a stitched nose, mouth and claws. They were made to prefer sitting down. Their sitting height is 9″ and 6″ approx. ‘Baba’ has a label which is now faded with age. We have not had his size before he is just adorable. ‘Mamas’ label is almost worn away but still visible on her inside leg. Both are good for age, clean, and from a smoke-free home. ‘MATILDA’ 1960s BRITISH /UK TEDDY BEAR
Matilda is a lovable old childhood teddy bear from the 1960s. She is in a loved old girl and quite a character. She is fully jointed (but has floppy limbs so prefers to sit) realistic plastic eyes. a stitched nose and mouth. Her length laid flat is 15″ (37cm) approx. Mohair fur has overall age wear. Material paw pads show some wear but are intact. No maker label. She comes wearing her pretty crochet dress. Email for her photo file £65

‘PIPKIN’ 1950s CHILTERN HUGMEE BEAR
Pipkin is a lovely old Chiltern bear from the 1950s. He is fully jointed with glass eyes, mohair fur, velvet paw pads, a stitched nose, mouth and claws. His height standing on his tipie-toes is 14″ (37cm) you can see on his left foot pad the outline of where his Chiltern label would have been. He is overall good for his age, with some wear to his fur (mostly around his muzzle, back of leg and arms) his squeaker no longer works. He is a great character a lovely example of this sought after bear. Email for his photo file £65

‘SMUDGE’ 1960s WENDY BOSTON BEAR WITH LABEL
Smudge is a very cute 1960s Wendy Boston bear with label. He is unjointed with golden plush fur, plastic eyes. A stiched nose, mouth and claws. His length laid flat is 15″ (38cm) Good for age, except on his left paw where he tried felt tip pen! Email for his photo file £35

JINGLER’ OLD CHILDHOOD TEDDY BEAR BY THE FAMOUS MAKER ‘PEDIGREE’
Jingler is a wonderful old childhood bear with bells in his ears hence his name. He is made by a very famous toy maker of the time ‘Pedigree’ and has their label showing he was made in Northern Ireland. c.1960s. He is a fully jointed bear, with mohair fur, glass eyes. velvet paw pads. His height standing up is 23″ (58cm) he has a tummy growler that you can hear if you tap his tummy or back.
He has been well cared for over the years and is in original condition. Some small areas of wear to his lower tummy mostly. Being in original condition he shows some signs of age, his fur slightly discoloured in places. Email for his photo file. £75

‘SCOOTER’ 1960S CHILDHOOD TEDDY BEAR
Scooter is a very typical childhood bear of the 1960s. This type of bear were made in various sizes and colours for the UK market in Europe after the end of WW2. He has golden cotton plush fur, glass eyes, is fully jointed, strong material paw pads. His height standing is 15″ (38cm) to the top of his ears. HIs limbs are more swingy than when new, but firmly fixed. He is good for his age, being in original condition he has age discolouration to his fur and pads. He is a very sweet bear. 1960S LARGE SOOTY TYPE BEAR 24″ (60cm) SUPER CONDITION FOR HIS AGE
A wonderful old large Sooty bear from the 1960’s. He is all original condition and has been very well cared for over the years. This wonderful bear has silky golden and black plush fur, glass eyes. He has a working tilt squeaker, which works well. His height standing is 24″ (62cm) woodwool stuffing. Very minor for his size fur discolouration, otherwise excellent. Rare to find now, in the 1960s these were often seen and a childhood special bear for many children. He is from a smoke free home. Email for his photo file. £245

‘OLD BOB’ OLD CHILDHOOD BEAR OF THE 1950S -SOME LOVE & TLC NEEDED
Old Bob is from a time when red paw pads were the height of fashion for bears c.1950’s. He looks like an old boy now and has worn out his paw pads once and been given a nice new pair for his feet. Though his hand paws are now worn, they are not causing any problem. His height standing is 21″ (53cm) his joints are very swingy, he feels he could do the trapeze! He has a fixed head, glass eyes, and a mohair-plush type fur that is worn in places. (mostly his face) Having a good look at his nose stitching, I think he has had some help with mummy repairs in the past and possibly the glass eyes are old replacements. He is in ‘as found condition’ and would really benefit from some love and TLC. He is priced to reflect this. No maker label. Email for his photo file £50

‘CARLIE’ OLD PEDIGREE BEAR 1950S-60S
Carlie is a stunning-looking old Pedigree bear with beautiful, thick golden mohair fur. She is a very pretty bear, fully jointed with early pedigree plastic eyes. Her standing height is 21″ (53cm), very clean for her age. Some age wear to her paw pads, eyes slightly scuffed on the edges, and her plastic nose has gone (she didn’t like it anyway). She has a ‘made in England’ label on her back seam. An adorable bear. ADOPTED

‘BESS’ OLD FARNELL TYPE BRITISH BEAR c.1940s-EARLY 50S
Bess is a very special older British bear from the 1940s-early 1950s. She is a large impressive J K Farnell type bear. Her height standing is 60cm (24″) fully jointed with mohair fur, glass eyes. Her paw pads have been recovered some time ago in felt and have been very well done. She has the larger ears popular in the 1940s and the most beautiful kind face. She is very clean and for her age in lovely condition. A quality bear to treasure. Email for her photo file. £150

‘BIG SQUEAKY’ OLD 1960S’ CHILDHOOD BEAR 25″ (65cm)
Big Squeaky is a wonderful childhood bear of the 1960’s. Once a childhood bear of many children from the 1960s they are not so easy to find now. He is a large size bear, with a height standing of 25″ ( 65cm) with the distinctive ‘squeak’ rather than a growl when they are tilted. He has a cotton plush fur, glass eyes, material paw pads, and a stitched nose, mouth and claws. These bears were made in a variety of sizes from the UK market in Europe after WW2. Very well made they have lasted the test of time. For his age an size he in good condition. Some slight age fading to his fur/pads and discolouration to be expected as he is about 65 years old! ‘RED PAWS’ LARGE OLD BRITISH CHILDHOOD BEAR
Red Paws is a lovely example of a larger plush childhood teddy bear from the 1950s-1960s. He would have been sold in stores like Woolworths and been quite a considered purchase, more than just pocket money at the time. For his age he in well above average condition. Very clean, with silky plush fur, glass eyes,. moulded nose, Height standing up (he needs help to do that) is 29″ (73cm) Being so big, he is best suited to sitting down. No maker tag or label, his tilt growler still works well. Superb overall for his age with only minor signs of age wear, and a few stiches gone on the end of his left ear that attach to his head. ‘MR BIG TED’ LARGE OLD c.1960S CHILDHOOD BEAR
Mr Big Ted is a lovely larger old bear from the c.1960s. He is an impressive bear, height standing 27″ (70cm) with glass eyes, and rexine paw pads (now worn to the backing mostly) No maker label, but certainly by a good maker of the time. For his age he is really lovely with some wear to his fur around his feet and muzzle. Email for his photo file. £120

‘ELSIE’ HAMIRO BEAR 1950S-60S
Elsie is a great character and a large chunky bear. She is fully jointed with boot button type eyes and mohair fur. Height standing 20″ (50cm) with a working tilt growler. For her age she is has survived well, some age wear to her mohair mostly on her left ear. She is in ‘as found’ condition and would benefit from a light suds to spruce up her fur to look her best. ‘DUKE’ LARGE OLD GOLDEN MOHAIR BEAR 1950S-1960S
For his age Duke is in really good condition, and he is a big boy. He has rod-jointed limbs which gives him his delightful floppy appearance. Laid flat he measures 27″ (70cm) to the top of his ears. Sitting up he measures 18″ (46cm) approx. Lovely golden mohair fur which is excellent overall with a few areas of thinning. With glass eyes, a stitched nose and mouth, with rexine paw pads. No label but certainly by a good teddy maker of the time. Some ‘mummy repairs’ around his arm joint seams where his rod-joints are to keep him secure. ‘BETTY’ 1950 – 1960S BEAR WITH FABULOUS 60s SKIRT.
Betty is a bear of her time with her woolly plush fur, made with part fabric clothes body no legs. Instead, she has her pretty very 60s-looking long skirt. This is in remarkable condition and keeps its vibrant colour. no maker’s label. She is in good ‘old’ condition. Her length laid flat is 20″ (50cm) Email for her photo file. £25
