‘POOH’ LARGE BEAR BY MERRYTHOUGHT 1960S
Pooh is an adorable, hard-to-find, large, old 1960s Merrythought ‘POOH’ bear. His height standing is 26″ (65cm). With his distinctive face and body shape, golden mohair fur. He still has the famous Merrythought label on his foot pad, although it is now worn. He is in lovely good condition for his age, except that one arm has been partly sewn to his back seam so it cannot move at present. We can see some minor fabric wear under where the ‘mummy stitches’ are. So it has been done to ensure he does not cause any further damage to the area. He no longer has his famous POOH red top. He is priced to reflect his current condition, and we think is a really good price for his size. Email for his photo file £135
LARGE RARE 25″ OLD ‘CHEEKY’ MERRYTHOUGHT BEAR 1960s – SUPERB FOR AGE
A very special large old ‘Cheeky’ bear by Merrythought from c.1960. This beautiful example is fully jointed with glass eyes, art-silk plush fur. His height standing is 25″ (63cm) Such a really adorable early example. Overall for his age he is in really good clean original condition. No longer has his label on his paw pad but you can clearly see where it once was. His ears have been partly refixed by ‘mummy’ in the past. A very small area of wear to the fabric by his nose, and a small hole to the felt on a hand paw. He is one of the most adorable large Merrythought Cheeky bears we have had. He is highly recommended, a lovely example of these so special bears.

‘ALBERT’ LARGE 24″ IMPRESSIVE VINTAGE ALPHA FARNELL BEAR LTD EDT WITH TAGS
Albert is a very special vintage limited edition Alpha Farnell bear by Merrythought. He is one of only 100 made and he is in very good unplayed with condition with tags. He is a large bear standing at 24″ (60cm) fully jointed with thick blonde mohair.
He has flat reinforced feet so he can stand. With felt paw pads that have the distinctive Alpha Farnell web claw stitching on his hand paws. With also a stitched nose, mouth and foot claws, a working tilt growler. He has his limited edition Certificate with details still attached to him. Plus side labels and foot label. Original ribbon, very clean from a smoke free home. He is a really beautiful bear.

‘DOMINIC’ FABULOUS RARE LARGE 28″ OLD 1960’S TWYFORD (ex Farnell) BEAR
Dominic is a very rare to find huge old Twyford bear from the 1960’s. He was made shortly after Farnell had split into separate companies. He would have been a very expensive bear of the time. He stands at 28″ (70cm) golden mohair fur, rexine paw pads, early realistic plastic eyes. Has his Twyford label in a side seam.
He is fully jointed, with golden mohair fur that is overall in excellent condition. Some minor fur wear, thinning to his mohair in places to be expected with a bear his age. His paw pads have some outer rexine loss in places (but no holes). A small area of seam stitching has come loose on his right front leg seam. He is very clean, from a smoke-free home. ‘SNUGGLES’ VINTAGE MERRYTHOUGHT PJ CASE
Snuggles is a very appealing vintage PJ Case bear by Merrythought. He is made in the old style, unjointed with blonde mohair fur, felt paw pads, and realistic plastic eyes. His sitting height is 13″ (33cm) He is small enough to be used in many ways as well as for PJ’s. Or he can have some stuffing and sit on a dresser.
