‘THEODORE’ ANTIQUE LARGE 1920S BEAR, SUPERB FOR AGE
Theodore is a very impressive large antique bear from the c.1920s-1930s. For his age, he is in fabulous condition. Height standing is 30″ (75cm) with a pretty pale grey mohair fur, glass eyes, a stitched nose, mouth and claws. His felt paw pads have some wear but are mostly intact. no growler we can hear. He is a heavy bear, wood wool stuffing. He came from the UK but could have come from Europe or USA originally. Very clean with only minimal wear to his mohair, he is a remarkable bear who has been very well loved and cared for. Enquire for availability
‘ROSA’ RARE EARLY LARGE ANTIQUE GERMAN PINK BEAR 1920s
Rosa is a very rare, early antique bear who came from Germany. She is from the 1920s with pink mohair fur. Also rare in such a large size to have survived. She is an impressive bear standing at 28″ (70cm) fully jointed with a long slim body shape popular at the time. For her age, she has survived well and is still a strong old bear. Her baby pink mohair has some wear and the colour is now faded. Her paw pads are worn, and some of her claw stitches are broken. A few of her seams stitches are loose and a few areas her fur has discoloured. But see her photos she still looks good for her great age, and her tilt growler still works! ‘MARIAH’ c.1950S – 60s POSSIBLY FRENCH BEAR
Mariah is an unusual bear possibly French from the 1950s – 1960s. She has a very pretty appearance with blonde mohair, glass eyes, brown paw pads and matching inner ears. She is fully jointed, height standing is 18″ (46cm) with a stitched nose, mouth and claws. growler no longer works. For her age is in really good and clean with over 95% mohair remaining. ‘MATHILDA’ ANTIQUE GERMAN BEAR WITH TIPPED MOHAIR
Mathilda is a very old, antique German bear with tipped mohair (2 colours) She is fully jointed with glass eyes, height 12″ (30cm) no maker’s tags but certainly by a quality maker of the time. c.1930s-1940s. Some age wear to the fur and the original felt paw pads have some wear, wood wool stuffing. Email for her photo file. £80
‘EMMELINE’ FABULOUS RARE ANTIQUE HERMANN WITH TIPPED MOHAIR 23″
Emmeline is a very special and rare antique German Hermann bear with the sought after tipped mohair (2 colours) She is a large bear standing at 24″ (60cm) and for her age c.1930s-1940s in very good condition for such an old bear. She has been very well cared for over the years and has retained her lovely brown and white tipped mohair colouring. Her tilt growler still works well, she has glass eyes, a stitched nose, mouth and claws. Her felt paw pads are original with some holes on the felt and ‘mummy’ repairs. Her mohair is excellent with just a little wear mostly on the back of one arm by the seam. Overall she is in very good clean condition for her age and size and is a really beautiful bear. ‘PASCALE’ LARGE OLD BLUE & WHITE BEAR, POSSIBLY FRENCH. 1950s
Pascale is a very unusual bear with his blue & white woolly plush fur. He is possibly French though he came to us from the UK. He is fully jointed, with glass eyes, his standing height is 22″ (57cm) Overall he has survived very well, though his once white fur is now age discoloured and has some small areas with stains. Photos taken in sunlight make him look a little lighter. He is a really lovely, a rare bear we have never seen one like him before. Email for his photo file £95
‘SARAH & MANNI’ 2 ADORABLE OLD BEARS C.1950S – 1960S
This adorable pair of old bears came to us from Germany, but were possibly made elswhere in Europe after the end of WW2. They are both similar in size and have mohair fur, glass eyes, material paw pads, and the cutest small tail. Fully jointed they stand at 20″ (50cm) with woodwool stuffing, a stitched nose, and mouth. They have no maker tags. They are available as a pair or separately. They are from left to right:
‘SARAH’ is in very good original condition with a working tilt growler, and only minimal fur loss see photos.
‘MANNI’ has a growler but it tends to be a quieter bear and it sometimes needs some encouragement. His fur has aged to a darker blond and he has a little more wear to his fur and his pads (but he is still adorable and quite enchanting)

HANS, HETTIE & HANNA, 3 RARE OLD GERMAN ROD JOINTED SMALL BEARS c.1950s-60s
Rare to find such old German bears in such amazing original condition. They are available separately or as a trio, see details below. They are all made of golden silk plush fur with glass eyes. They are made in the German style with a head that is part of the body, and the limbs are rod-jointed so they both move when one is moved. The heights are 7″ (18cm) and the smaller bear on the right is 6″ (15cm) All are very clean, from a smoke-free home. Amazing to have the set of 3 they are like a family and are really adorable.

3 ADORABLE OLD DRESSED BEARS 1950S-1960S
An adorable family of very old dressed bears from the 1950s-1960s. They came from Germany, but possibly Austrian-European. The 2 have clothes that are part of them, the largest you can take her dress off. No makers tags but certainly good makers of the time. All are unjointed with glass eyes and mohair fur. The largest has internally wired legs so she can sort of sit with some help! small hole on the left-hand material. Heights from 14″ -10″ approx. (36 – 25cm) All are good for their ages with some wear to the fur and age wear to the clothes see photos. From a non-smoking home.
